We were camping up at East Park Reservoir at the beginning of September when each day we would see a bird coming up from the water with a fish in its claws. On the day I took this picture we saw the bird flying with the fish. The bird, for some reason, landed on top of this old oak tree, with the fish. The fish would flop around and it looked like the bird would lose his catch. Then the bird started to eat the fish, right up in the top of the tree. Finally, after the fish stopped flopping, the bird flew away with the fish in one hand!
Oh, how I wish I had huge zoom lens for this one!
